INFLATION, inflation, INFLATION:  The Rhyme of our Times
In2020, Warren Buffet, one of the most successful investors of all time, bought Gold and sold his long time stock holdings in Banks and Airlines.  At 90+ yrs old Mr. Buffet operates by taking action and does not spend much time explaining the wisdom of his decisions.

Why would the most successful investor of all time that holds billions in USD dollar fiat money dump Bank stocks? 
The answer is that Mr Buffet understands that inflation makes these stocks are worth less, and less over time until eventually they arrive at 0.  Yes folks, any asset that is dominated in FIAT currency Dollars (USD, CAN, EURO, YEN), stocks (bonds, pensions, money) can become worth less and less over time due to inflation.  1.00$ today does not purchase the same quantity of goods it did a year ago because your purchasing power is consistently eroded by inflation.  The dollar Graph above shows the USD greenback has lost 96% of its purchasing power since 1913 when the Federal Reserve was created.  

Buffet also understands that GOLD has been a traditional hedge (for a thousand years) against inflation and excessive Government spending.  Now when a USD Dollar lover like Mr Buffet starts buying gold, it is high time for the average person like me and you to pay attention.  Because it means he believes something is seriously wrong with the USD Dollar.  His actions show Buffet is hedging his billions of dollars into gold to protect against a dollar crisis.

Those that understand inflation like Paul Tutor Jones, Grayscale Investments; Michael Saylor (550$ + million investment in Bitcoin) CEO of Micro-strategies are buying Bitcoin (digital gold) because Bitcoin protects you from inflation and unlimited printing of FIAT money.   

I mean to say, each time the Government of any nation prints currency (paper Fiat money) that money depreciates in value.  We already know the consequence when Governments decide to print unlimited money.  Just ask Argentina, Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Weimar republic of Germany.... In 2020-2021, central banks globally are PRINTING unprecedented amounts of FIAT money.  This means that serious inflation, even hyper inflation is coming and your savings in the bank are becoming worth LESS and less.   Robert Kiyosaki from Rich Dad, Poor Dad fame argues that: "Savers are Losers" is meant to be taken literally because of inflation.  You literally have less and less purchasing power in the bank, day by day, year after year.  Savings in Fiat money buy you LESS and LESS until you can buy nothing.   Housing prices in Canada are a prime example of inflation.

Why Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is digital gold, real money, hard asset that is peer to peer, decentralized and global.  One bitcoin has the same purchasing power, is worth the same value / equivalent amount in dollars in every country around the globe,
just like one ounce of gold.  No government, bank or country controls Bitcoin. 

Bitcoin enables settlement of transactions in real time globally without permission of Government, Banks, or SWIFT.  Only you control your Bitcoin.   Bitcoin holders have financial freedom, independence and total sovereignty, autonomy over their bitcoins and personal wealth.  

Does bitcoin fight inflation?  
No bitcoin does not fight inflation.  It does the opposite, it's a deflationary asset.  Please allow me to explain.

Bitcoin has a fixed supply (21 million coins) that is DEFLATIONARY.  Every 4 years the supply of bitcoin REDUCES which causes the asset to Harden, become scarcer over time because there are fewer and fewer bitcoins to go around.  Bitcoin just experienced another halving event in May 2020 and its price is reflecting the fact that it is now a scarce(r) resource.   
There are only 21 million bitcoin ever created.  An estimated 5 million Bitcoin are lost and considered non-recoverable.  No more bitcoin will ever be printed and the last bitcoin will be mined in 2140 or so. 

Bitcoin protects your personal wealth that you have accumulated over a lifetime and ensures you and your family can enjoy the benefits from you're life's work, savings and smart investing.  Bitcoin is the life insurance policy that protects personal wealth accumulated over a life time of hard work and ensures you can pass on that wealth to your family.    

Why do Bitcoin, Gold and Silver Gain Value during inflation?
Peter Schiff (youtube podcast) points out that Gold is not so much gaining in value these days, it’s that USD Dollars are losing value, becoming worth less and less.  Because fiat money becomes worth less during inflation is the reason that Gold has hit new all time highs in 2020.  Similarly, Bitcoin is not so much gaining in value, but its price reflects the fact that Dollars are inflated and worth less, every day.  Every day that goes by dollars, fiat money is worth less and less and Bitcoin, Gold, Silver gain in purchasing power and real world value. 

We also have to thank Peter Schiff for consistently mentioning how much he hates Bitcoin.  No person alive has done more to advocate / promote Bitcoin to all of his followers on Twitter, Youtube and around the Globe than Peter Schiff.  Because of his efforts, Bitcoin has remained front and centre in the public eye and is better known today that it would have been otherwise (Willy Woo observation twitter).
